Resource consent pre-application meetings
If you need help preparing your resource consent application you can request a pre-application meeting with a planner.
These meetings are offered free of charge (up to a maximum of two hours for each application) and can be useful for larger or more complex proposals.
At this meeting Council staff will tell you:
- how your activity is classified in the Horowhenua District Plan
- what kind of resource consent you need to apply for
- whether you need to apply to both the district and regional council for a resource consent (or we'll refer you to the other council)
- what information you need to supply in support of your application
- how long the process is likely to take, and how much the fee is.
You can also talk to a Planner over the phone and/or request to receive planning advice via email.
