MapIt is an online mapping system provided as a public service by Horowhenua District Council. It is designed to enable the viewing and retrieval of geographic information including:
- water and drainage; and
- aerial photography.
Although the operation of MapIt is designed to be simple and user intuitive, comprehensive user guides are available below for both desktop and mobile platforms.
MapIt is compatible with a wide range of browsers and we recommend using Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. MapIt also works best when your browser zoom scale is set to 100%.
Some aspects of MapIt require the use of ‘pop-ups’, for example printing. Please ensure that your browser is not configured to block ‘pop-ups’.
Conditions of Use
As a user of MapIt you'll need to be aware of all conditions of use before accessing the mapping. These conditions can be viewed on our Conditions of Use page.
By accessing the mapping, it is assumed that you have read, and agree to, all conditions of use.
Versions of MapIt are available in both a desktop and mobile platform.
