Horowhenua Tertiary Education Scholarship

Looking for a unique work experience? How about Local Government? If you can answer yes to the two questions below, you are eligible to apply for a Horowhenua District Council Tertiary Education Scholarship. The recipient will receive a $1,000 Scholarship and paid work internship during the 2026-2027 summer break.

• Are you living in or from Horowhenua?
• Are you a school leaver planning on studying for a tertiary qualification in 2027 or are you continuing your study in 2027?

As a scholarship recipient, you will receive:

• $1,000 toward your tertiary study fees.
• Up to 10 weeks paid employment with Horowhenua District Council.
