On behalf of Horowhenua District Council, Higgins Contractors Ltd are renewing and upgrading the existing water and wastewater main on York Street, Levin to ensure a more reliable wastewater network.
Planned start date: Tuesday 9 January 2024
Expected completion date: Wednesday 31 July 2024
Work hours: 7.30am to 5.30pm
Affected area: York Street, Levin
Trenching works will begin near the Weraroa Road intersection on York Street, moving eastwards towards Oxford Street. The work will be done in stages to minimise disruption to residents and road users.
There may be short periods of time when vehicle access to some properties will be unavailable. We will notify affected parties before this happens.
Please take notice of, and follow, the temporary traffic management each day as it might change from day to day.
Some on-street parking will be unavailable during construction, please ensure your visitors park safely in a nearby parking space.
All excavations will be fenced-off and covered at the end of each day. For your safety and the safety of others, please follow the temporary speed limits and avoid fenced-off areas.
Disruptions will be kept to a minimum while the work is being undertaken and the work will be signposted.
