Water Restrictions - Levin & Ōhau

With the increased flow in the Ōhau River and reduced water demand, the restrictions for Levin and Ōhau have been completely lifted, effective immediately. Thank you for your co-operation and efforts in helping to reduce water usage during the water restrictions.

Sale of Food at Events or Markets

Find information on selling food at events including fairs, markets, sausage sizzles and fundraising stalls, as well as relevant application forms.

Alcohol at an Event

A special licence is required for any event where alcohol will be sold either over a bar or by a ticket system or donation, cover charge or Koha, or where alcohol is included in pre-sold ticket price.

Plan and promote your Event

There are various different ways to promote your event.These include the use of listing on our websites, media releases, interviews, media advertising, social media and other promotional materials such as posters and flyers.

Events Notification

Horowhenua District Council requires you to complete an Event Notification Form if you are planning on hosting a public event that will attract 100 people or more.
