Levin and the Horowhenua are in an exciting period of unprecedented growth. With roading improvements to the south improving accessibility to Wellington, more and more people are recognising that the Horowhenua is a great place to live, work, play and do business. The tap has been turned on and we are seeing development of a scale that we have not seen in a generation.

The Horowhenua District Council recognises the opportunities new businesses, industries and employment will bring to our community, and we are 'shovel-ready' to make the most of them.

This Town Centre Strategy sets out the community's vision for the future of our town. Some initial Council-led projects on Oxford Street and Levin Memorial Hall will catalyse further development in our town centre. The Town Centre Strategy contains guiding principles that will be used to inform the detail of future development as the town centre evolves.
