Courtney Butcher (academia) Courtney is a year 13 student at Waiopehu College, and is an exceptional student with particular regard to academics. Her teachers say she has what they call a ‘hard worker’ mentality.
Jordan Sue (academia) Jordan is an archetype of what the youth of the region should look toward for a positive role model. He has achieved excellence endorsements in each of his two NCEA years so far.
Samuel Morris (academia) Serving as the academic prefect at Horowhenua College, as well as deputy head boy position, his exemplary grades and positive mind-set are an inspiration to younger students.
Casey Allum (academia) She has achieved an impressive number of excellence credits for both NCEA levels one and two, and is well on track for a third consecutive excellence endorsement.

Janae Whakarau (sport) Janae is a 14 year old Taekwon-Do student, and in this sporting code is performing at the highest level. She is the current regional, national, and Oceanic champion in her age grade & weight division.
