Sarah Benseman (community service)

Sarah is an 18 year old Horowhenua college student whose service to community goes above and beyond all expectation. She has been a part of multiple services to community, such as assisting the Summerset retirement village, marshalling the kids GO triathlon, and collecting donations for the RSA poppy appeal; just to name a few. Interestingly, she is also an avid Girl Guide member, recently receiving the queens guide award; the highest award that can be given to girl guides in New Zealand. Sarah is soon to commence her tertiary studies, and this funding would assist in supplementing course and text book costs for this endeavour.

In the future, Sarah plans to continue her service to the girl guides, becoming a leader in both this organisation and the community at large.
