Rural Road Speed Limit Changes

New speed limits are in effect for most rural and rural residential roads in Horowhenua. The new speed limit schedules are available on the Land Transport Bylaw 2017 page.

Mowing schedules postponed in some areas due to wet ground conditions

As part of the Community Wellbeing Strategy(PDF, 234KB) , the Horowhenua District Council Youth Action Plan 2016-2019 lays out key objectives for Youth Development over the next three years.

Its vision statement is that "Young people in the Horowhenua live in a supportive environment which provides opportunities for development and celebrates success"
