Property Valuation Rolls for Horowhenua District Council

No longer on display. Expired on February 03, 2023, 12:00 PM

Quotable Value Limited, on behalf of Horowhenua District Council, has recently completed the three-yearly rating valuation of the properties in the district. The Valuation Rolls for Horowhenua District Council have been revised by Quotable Value Limited (as Council’s valuation service provider).

A rating valuation is a three-yearly assessment of a property's value and is determined by house sale prices on a specific date. We use these valuations as a guide for setting your rates. These values will be used to set rates for the next financial year (2023/2024).

An increase in your property value may not mean you pay more in rates. Any rates increase is determined by your property value increase compared with the average increase across the Horowhenua District.

If your property has increased by more than the average, you may pay more than the average rates increase for the 2023/2024 financial year.

Revaluation does not affect the amount of money we collect from rates - it helps us work out everyone’s share of rates.

The revised rating valuations are effective as at 1 August 2022 and the new notices of valuation will be posted to owners and ratepayers from 14 December 2022. The District Valuation Rolls will be open for public inspection, free of charge, during normal office hours, at:

Council’s Main Office
126 Oxford Street
Levin.

The revised rating valuations are also available to be inspected on Quotable Value’s website at qv.co.nz/property-search or Council’s website at ratesinformation.horowhenua.govt.nz/
