To mark the armistice that ended the First World War in 1918, Armistice Day commemorations will be held in Levin and Foxton.
Join us for a commemorative service and wreath laying.
Members of the public, organisations, groups and businesses who wish to be called up to lay a wreath during the commemorations are invited to register their names with Council’s Civic & Community Events Coordinator, Chloe Wilson, on chloew@horowhenua.govt.nz.
Should the weather not be favourable for an outside event, the commemorative services will be held at the Levin RSA and Foxton Memorial Hall.
An announcement will be made on our Facebook page at 9.30am on Friday 11 November if either location is changed due to bad weather.
