Building Consents moving to Objective Build
Horowhenua District Council is moving to Objective Build, our new online building consent platform, from late September 2026.
Objective Build will provide one central place for customers to submit, track and manage building consent applications, with improved visibility of application status and communication throughout the process.
Developed with input from building industry professionals across New Zealand, Objective Build replaces Simpli and GoGet, bringing applications, processing, inspections and communication together in a single system.
What are the benefits?
Objective Build offers:

- Better visibility of application progress

- Organisation management tools for businesses and frequent users
- Dedicated email addresses for each consent
- A single platform for applications, inspections, and communication.
What do I need to do?
To prepare for the transition:
- Create your Objective Build account.
- Use the same email address you currently use for the Simpli portal.
- Respond to any outstanding Requests for Further Information (RFIs) as soon as possible.
What happens to existing applications?
Applications submitted before the transition will continue to be processed in the current system until a decision is made to grant, issue or refuse the applications.
To help ensure a smooth transition, please respond to any Requests for Further Information (RFIs) as soon as possible.
Building consent applications that have been granted and do not have a Code Compliance Certificate (CCC), an active amendment application, or an active CCC application in progress will be transferred to Objective Build automatically.
Can't access your building consent?
If, once Objective Build is live, you log into Objective Build and cannot access your building consent, please submit a Building Enquiry or call our Customer Experience team on 06 366 0999 and we'll help get your access sorted as soon as possible.
