We're on the lookout for a dynamic Risk Advisor to join our powerhouse Business Performance Team within our Organisation Performance Group. This role isn't just about managing risks – it's about shaping the destiny of our community and ensuring that our decisions lead to epic Community Outcomes.

Working closely with the organisation to provide employees and Elected Members with tailored and timely advice on best practice risk management, identifying, assessing, and prioritising potential risks across the organisation, including operational, financial, legal, and reputational risks. Ensure the effectiveness of risk management strategies and processes, maintaining compliance with international and NZ standards, including overseeing insurance programmes, conducting audits, and maintaining a comprehensive risk register.

You'll have a strong grasp of risk management with a touch of risk management wizardry that has proven history to enhance organisational outcomes. Your approach will be goal-oriented and forward-thinking, with a focus on the broader perspective and long-term implications when planning and mitigating potential impacts.

Your confidence and determination will drive proactive initiatives, reflecting a mindset geared towards business improvement. Additionally, you should be responsive and influential, fostering robust relationships across the organisation while ensuring continuous development and refinement of risk management processes and systems.
