Playford Park is one of the most widely used sportsgrounds in the Horowhenua. A recently completed project has seen the installation of lighting towers on the fields, construction of two new changing room/toilet facilities, extensive inground irrigation installation and improvement of the fields. The park is now now capable of holding regional and national sports tournaments and is one of the best training facilities between Wellington and Palmerston North for rugby union, rugby league, softball and touch rugby.
