The ordinary Council Meeting for the receiving and hearing of submissions on the Long Term Plan 2024-2044 (LTP) will be live streamed from 12 noon to 7.45pm on Wednesday 1 May and from 12 noon to 5pm on Thursday 2 May 2024.

The District Licensing Committee (DLC) is appointed as required by Section 186 of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and will decide all applications relating to licences and certificates applied for from 18 December 2013.
Each year Horowhenua District Council is required to report on a variety of Alcohol Licensing-related matters to the Alcohol Regulatory Licensing Authority. This is done by way of an Annual Report which is available for viewing.
The Horowhenua District Licensing Agency has a role to play in the reduction of alcohol abuse through its responsibilities and obligations under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act.
