Proposed Plan Change 4: Tara-Ika Growth Area

Public notice is hereby given in accordance with Clause 10(4)(b) of the First Schedule of the Resource Management Act 1991 that the Horowhenua District Council, at its meeting of 29 June 2022, adopted the decision on Proposed Plan Change 4 to the Operative Horowhenua District Plan (June 2015).

A full copy of the decision on the Proposed Plan Change is available for inspection at the following locations, during opening hours:

  • Horowhenua District Council office:  126 Oxford Street. Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (except Wednesdays), Wednesdays 9.30am to 5pm.
  • Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō: 10 Bath Street, Levin.  Hours: 9am to 5.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10am to 9pm on Wednesday, 10am to 4pm on Saturday and 1pm to 4pm on Sunday.
  • Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom: 92 Main Street, Foxton. Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday.
  • Shannon Library: 62 Plimmer Terrace. Hours: 10am to 12 noon, 1pm to 5pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 12 noon Saturday.

A person who made a submission or further submission the Proposed Plan Change may appeal the decision on the respective Proposed Plan Changes(s) in accordance with Clause 14 of the First Schedule of the Resource Management Act 1991.

Any appeals on this decision have to be lodged with the Environment Court within 30 working days on the decision being publicly notified, by 15 August 2022 in accordance with Clause 11 of the First Schedule. Only those who made a submission or further submission on the Plan Change can appeal.
