Why didn’t the recycling I put out get collected?

There are three main reasons for your recycling not being collected:

  1. It may have been put out late. Rubbish bags, recycling bins and crates that are placed at the kerbside after 7:30am may not be collected.
  2. Your recycling wheelie bin or crate may have contained non-recyclable material, or you may have mixed your glass recycling with other recyclable materials.
  3. Your wheelie bin or crate may not be an official Horowhenua District Council bin or crate. If this is the case, please contact us to discuss your options.
