We have some great opportunities come up for experienced and qualified Lifeguards and/or Leaders who are serious about growing and taking on more responsibilities by becoming a Poolside Team Leader. This is a great role to grow your skills and knowledge in people supervision and coordination. Responsibility for the supervision and mentoring of your team will be paramount to this role along with Health & Safety for all people on the premises.
Above all you will be passionate about leading your team to deliver a great customer experience.
We are open 7 days a week, including public holidays, and our roster offers shifts between the hours of 5:30am and 9:30pm, at our facilities in Levin and Foxton, and at the Shannon School Pool during the summer season.
This is a full time role.
He kōrero mōu - About you
As a Poolside Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of your shift, by managing the service delivery and leading the operations team. You will be responsible for the operations of the facility during your rostered shift, ensuring customer satisfaction, asset protection, legislative and industry compliance, increasing team member productivity and ensuring good communication and information sharing with team members.
You will also play a key role in improving our safety culture and services, and provide feedback, advice and input to the management team. You will bring a background in Aquatics, ideally with demonstrated experience working in a supervisory/team leader role.
It is essential that you have extensive poolside experience supported by a Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate, a current First Aid Certificate, a full current driver's license, a clean criminal record, and are able to pass a pre-employment drug test. We can provide all the necessary training and qualifications to the right person.
In addition, we require broad experience in: Plant Room/ Health & Safety/ People leadership and training
You would have an advantage if you can offer additional qualifications in: Chemical handling/ Pool water treatment/ Aquatics Level 3 or higher/ Te Mahi Ako Assessor certified
