Horse Friendly Trails

River Mouth Trail. Foxton Beach

Walk or ride the hard packed sand on the beach at mid to low tide, along the river and back to the surf club through parkland.

Stock Route Track

Enter Donnelly Rd, off State Highway 1 just south of the Mobil Service Station.

Sunset Walk, Foxton Beach

Sunset Walkway showcases the internationally recognised and protected Ramsar site in the Manawatu River Estuary. Spot migratory birds, enjoy river views, watch boats and fishing at the Boat Club, or stop for a BBQ picnic at the boat ramp.

Trig Walkway, Levin

This popular spot is situated on private land and features walking and biking tracks and access to Tararua Forest Park via Kohitere Forest.
