Megan Mckenzie (Academia)

Megan Mckenzie is a top scholar and contributor to the Horowhenua community.

Megan not only has excellence endorsements for NCEA level 1 and level 2, but she has worked hard this year to gain a National Certificate in Early Childhood this year.

At age 17 Megan has begun accumulating a wealth of extra-curricular qualifications including a first aid certificate, two food handling certificates and is currently finishing a National Certificate in Retail.

As a community minded young woman, Megan has been a part of Horowhenua Youth Voice, working for Meals on Wheels and contributed to her school as a part of the Horowhenua College Academic Committee. Recently Megan has been selected onto the 2016 Horowhenua College Prefect Team, head prefects are announced at senior prize giving.

After completing year 13 in 2016 Megan plans to enrol with Victoria University to pursue a Law degree.
