Caitlin Bland (Academia)

Caitlin Bland is a motivated rising achiever and role model to her peers. A pupil of Waiopehu College, Caitlin received the Top Academic Award for her year level in 2013 and again in 2014.

In 2015 as a year 11 student Caitlin has so far gained all of her credits at excellence level. Not only has she passed NCEA level 1 before sitting external examinations, she has done this receiving excellence endorsement.

Caitlin is an enthusiastic contributor to the community and as a member of a team, having been a volunteer at Te Takere. She is a member of the Horowhenua Rowing Club and has competed at the annual North Island Secondary competition.

At age 16 Caitlin already has plans to begin her university education in 2018. She wants to pursue study as a doctor of medicine at Otago University.
