Kimberley Reserve Camping Ground has officially closed for the camping season.
Kimberley Reserve is nestled in a bush setting next to the Ōhau river with many popular swimming holes and walking tracks nearby. There are plenty of grassy areas for families to enjoy a picnic, a spot of cricket, touch rugby or take the dog for a walk.Vehicle access is available during the summer months (camping season) when the grounds are generally dry and more suitable for vehicles to drive on.
Dogs are allowed off leash, though must be kept under control at all times and kept away from swimmers. Please keep children in direct sight.
There is ongoing pest control work in this reserve. Please keep dogs on a leash and under control at all times. Signage at the reserve provides more detailed information.
Camping is permitted from 1 December to 28 April, subject to availability. There is also a toilet/changing block open during this period.
During the camping season, a permit is required to camp at Kimberley Reserve.
