Horowhenua Maps is an online mapping system that allows you to view geographic data and information about properties in the Horowhenua District.
As a user of Horowhenua Maps you'll need to be aware of our conditions of use before accessing the mapping.
No liability
Horowhenua Maps is a free service offered by Horowhenua District Council. Your use of Horowhenua Maps is conditional on your acceptance of the terms and conditions set out in these Conditions of Use and is entirely at your own risk.
Horowhenua District Council does not accept any responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions on Horowhenua Maps or any liability for any damage or loss caused by your reliance on or use of the information contained on Horowhenua Maps.
Horowhenua District Council excludes all liability for any loss, damage, costs or expenses resulting directly or indirectly from the use of data contained on Horowhenua Maps and any maps or information derived from it.
Accuracy of information
The data on Horowhenua Maps has been compiled from a number of sources and may not be accurate, current, complete or a correct representation. This data is provided on an ‘as is’ basis and Horowhenua District Council does not make any representation of or give any warranty to the accuracy, currency, or completeness of the information.
The data on Horowhenua Maps may be changed and amended by Horowhenua District Council at any time without notice.
Amendment of conditions
Horowhenua District Council reserves the right to amend the Conditions of Use at its sole discretion. Your continued use of Horowhenua Maps following any amendments to the Conditions of Use represents your agreement to be bound by the amended Conditions of Use.
Intellectual property rights
Unless otherwise stated, all intellectual property rights in, to and in respect of the information, data and materials appearing on the service remain the property of the Horowhenua District Council or the third parties who have licensed their intellectual property to Council. Information may only be used as permitted by the Copyright Act 1994.

Access
Horowhenua Maps is designed as a 24 hour service but Horowhenua District Council reserves the right to discontinue the service at any time and without notice. For security and technical reasons, Horowhenua District Council may, at any time, and without notice, prohibit or restrict individual access to the service.
Horowhenua District Council does not make any warranty that the service will be error free, without interruption or delay, or free from defects in design or engineering.
Property information
The property information provided by Horowhenua Maps is not intended as an alternative, or a replacement, for either a Land Information Memorandum (LIM) report obtainable from Council, or a title search obtainable from Land Information New Zealand. The location of property boundaries should be verified by a qualified surveyor.
Support
Council staff are unable to provide technical assistance or support for specific hardware or applications used to view Horowhenua Maps.
