Horowhenua District Council's Building Consent Authority has been accredited by IANZ and is registered with the Ministry of Business, Employment and Innovation to ensure that certain minimum standards of health and safety are met in all building construction works.
Building consents: moving to Objective Build
From the end of September 2026, Horowhenua District Council will move to Objective Build, a new online platform for building consent applications. It will give applicants a single place to submit, track, and manage building consent applications, with clearer visibility of status and communication throughout.
