Notification of withdrawal of part of Proposed Plan Change 6A

Horowhenua District Council has withdrawn parts of the Proposed Plan Change 6A on Thursday 26 March 2026, in accordance with section 80Q of the Resource Management Act 1991 (the RMA).

Horowhenua District Council has received a decision on the Plan Stop exemption application that was made to the Ministry for the Environment, in relation to Proposed Plan Change 6A. 

Minister Christoper Bishop has advised that he has considered the application and is satisfied that Proposed Plan Change 6A meets the criteria under Section 80W(2)(h) of the Resource Management Act 1991 for exemption and has determined that it can proceed in part.   

The Minister has determined that the following provisions are not considered appropriate to proceed and must therefore be withdrawn from the plan change:

This notice is to advise of the withdrawal of these provisions per Section 80R of the Resource Management Act 1991. 

The remainder of Proposed Plan Change 6A will therefore proceed to a public hearing, the date of which will be advised in due course, via a public notice and webpage update.  Submitters who indicated they wished to speak at the hearing will be advised directly of the hearing date.
