Where Creativity Meets Community: Imaginate Arrives in Foxton
Published on October 31, 2025
Foxton’s Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom will burst into colour and creativity this summer with ‘Imaginate’, a bold, playful exhibition celebrating community connection, running from 15 November 2025 to 20 February 2026.
From a live paint wall that grows over time to experimental sculptures, digital creations and a hands-on making space, Imaginate will further transform Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom into a lively space that invites everyone to imagine, spark and create.
“Horowhenua is rich in culture, creativity, and community connection, whether through our people, our places, or the stories we share,” says Mayor Bernie Wanden. “Imaginate is a celebration of what happens when our Community Facilities create space for the community to dream big, express themselves, and connect through creativity. It’s about enabling possibility, just because we can, and just because it matters.”
Designed in collaboration with local design and creativity specialists, Lemonface Creative, the exhibition will evolve throughout summer with community workshops, holiday programmes and spontaneous art experiences for families, curious visitors and seasoned creatives alike.
Come for the creativity. Stay for the stories, culture and coastal charm of Foxton.
