Shannon Community Plan

Horowhenua District Council, in partnership with Ngāti Whakatere, invites Shannon residents to help shape the Shannon Community Plan.

Be part of the very first session and help kick-start this important project - share your ideas and help create a plan that reflects the future of our community. From this initial meeting, we hope to progress to forming a working group, with further opportunities for the community to be involved as well.

We’ll begin with a pōwhiri at 10am (please arrive 15 minutes early), followed by a historic talk from Ngāti Whakatere. After that, we’ll discuss the Shannon Community Plan, where your input will help shape the direction of our town.

Kai will be provided so come along and share your ideas.
