Meet the Candidates

The Waitārere Beach Progressive & Ratepayers Association invites you to attend a “Meet the Candidates” meeting for those standing in the 2025 Local Government & Regional Council Elections.

We would like to offer the Mayoral, Waiopehu Ward, Horowhenua (Māori) Ward and Horizons Regional Council/Horowhenua candidates an opportunity to address the Waitārere Beach community.

Candidates will have up to 2.5 minutes to talk about their policies and how they intend to work and promote the Horowhenua area. We will allow one minute for questions.

Once the formal part of the meeting is concluded, we will have tea/coffee available for all, so that candidates can mingle with the audience and answer any queries on a one-to-one basis.
