Meet the Candidates

Horowhenua District Ratepayers & Residents Association welcomes you to attend their upcoming ‘Meet the Candidates’ evenings.

Due to the large number of candidates standing in the Horowhenua District, we have split the candidates across two meetings.  You're welcome to attend both meetings or meet the ward candidates from the area you live in.  Either way, you'll also meet Mayoral candidates and Horowhenua (Māori) Ward candidates who cover off all of the Horowhenua District.

Invited candidates - Monday, 25 August 2025

Come along and meet the Mayoral candidates, the Levin Ward and the Horowhenua (Māori) Ward candidates.

Each candidate will have an opportunity to outline how they intend to serve their community, followed by a short question and answer session.

Invited candidates - Monday, 1 September 2025

Come along and meet the Mayoral candidates, plus candidates from the Kere Kere Ward, Waiopehu Ward, Miranui Ward and the Horowhenua (Māori) Ward.

Each candidate will have an opportunity to outline how they intend to serve their community, followed by a short question and answer session.
