Kaiārahi Pūnaha Ahumoni | Finance Systems Lead

Applications closing on July 02, 2026, 05:00 PM

He angitūtanga – The Opportunity

Are you an accounting professional who sees a manual process and immediately starts thinking about a better way?

As our Finance Systems Lead, you will be the driving force behind ensuring our financial systems, data and reporting are robust, integrated and continuously improving. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this pivotal role offers the chance to lead optimisation of Civica Authority financials and MagiQ, while serving as the functional lead for our high-profile migration to Authority Altitude Cloud.

You won’t just be replicating old processes—you will have the mandate to redesign them, championing AI-enabled practices, automation and self-service dashboards to eliminate manual workloads. Beyond the tech, you will partner closely with the wider finance team to uplift their capability, build sustainable system-led thinking and contribute to a positive, collaborative culture that directly impacts our communities.

He kōrero mōu – About You

To excel in this role, you are a unique blend of a tech-savvy systems analyst and a business-focused finance professional. You bring strong accounting knowledge paired with a proven track record in managing financial database integrity and chart of accounts configurations. Experience with Civica Authority, MagiQ, or large-scale cloud migrations (ideally Altitude) will set you apart.

You are a natural continuous-improver who looks at a manual spreadsheet and sees an opportunity for automation, governance-controlled AI or a dynamic dashboard. Exceptionally strong at relationship management, you possess the rare ability to translate complex business needs into seamless technical solutions. You are a collaborative educator who enjoys upskilling others to reduce key-person dependency, and you are ready to champion a safe, value-driven workplace culture.
