Water conservation levels lifted throughout the district

With increased rainfall and a drop in demand, water conservation levels have been lifted from today, Tuesday 6 May 2025, for Levin, Ōhau, Shannon, Tokomaru, Foxton and Foxton Beach. Thank you for your co-operation and efforts in helping to reduce water usage during the water conservation period.

Proposed Plan Change 6A

Proposed Plan Change 6A seeks to rezone 22ha of land on the northwest of Levin from Deferred Residential (Future Residential) to Residential. This land is one of Council’s identified urban growth areas – known as Levin North West 1 (LNW1). Submissions close at 5pm on Wednesday 14 May 2025.

Proposed Dog Control Policy & Bylaw

Horowhenua District Council is reviewing its Dog Control Policy and Bylaw which set the local rules for owning dogs, providing them with recreational areas, and keeping people safe. Submissions close at 4pm on Wednesday 30 April 2025.
