The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is leading New Zealand's response to H5 bird flu (H5N1). You can help protect our native birdlife and local poultry by knowing what to do. If you see three or more sick or dead wild birds together, please don't touch or move them. Report them to MPI and follow the latest advice.

The Horowhenua is a great place to live and grow up as the area has so much to offer families, groups of friends, and even just yourself when alone time is needed.
The Horowhenua has many walks in different settings, bush, beach, forestry and river walks. There are bump tracks and skate parks. The library and aquatic centre are community hubs offering so much more than books and water.
The Horowhenua has many sporting facilities both recreational and serious. We have many martial art groups, gyms, and so many sports clubs catering from pre-school to the more mature ages.
But the best thing I like that makes the Horowhenua great is the opportunities it gives to allow young people to step up into leadership roles in a safe and nurturing environment.
All of the We are Horowhenua photos will on display around Levin. View Map If you want to see this photo up close and personal, visit Paper Plus – Oxford Street.
