The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is leading New Zealand's response to H5 bird flu (H5N1). You can help protect our native birdlife and local poultry by knowing what to do. If you see three or more sick or dead wild birds together, please don't touch or move them. Report them to MPI and follow the latest advice.

Foxton Beach is 5km west of Foxton, and approximately 90 minutes north of Wellington. Just 5 minutes off State Highway 1, Foxton Beach is a convenient, quiet place to stay and an ideal stopover to or from the ferry.
Spend days lazing on the sands at the beach, go for beach or river walks, swimming, sea and river fishing, bird watching or exploring the many local attractions. Then in the evenings sit back and relax, take in the ambience of the setting sun over the Tasman Sea or enjoy a meal at local cafes or restaurants.
A summer programme runs from the 27th of December to mid-January and includes the camp's yearly Petanque tournament, as well as the golf tournament (held at the Foxton golf course).
The Foxton Beach Holiday Park is independently operated.
