Where to go for services and support
You can find out where to go for services and support during the COVID-19 lockdown below.
The Manwatū-Whanganui Civil Defence and Emergency Management (MWCDEM) Group has activated a dedicated welfare helpline to assist households with goods and services such as food, water, clothing and bedding.
If you need assistance please call 0800 725 678 between 9am-5pm, any day of the week. This service is for people who are unable to make arrangements through their own support networks.
You can also find information on where to go for services and support by visiting www.covid19.govt.nz.
We’re aware that not everyone has access to the internet, so please pass on any information to friends, family and neighbours. And please check in on those you know be facing hardship or finding this time difficult. We’re in this together.
