Offering great views over Lake Horowhenua (Punahou), Muaūpoko Park is an extensively landscaped area of parkland around the lake with a playground. Lake Horowhenua (Punahou) is one of the coastal dune lakes typical of the region. A large variety of bird life visits the lake - a great place to feed the ducks with the littlies. It is a peaceful spot with play equipment and large grassed areas. No power boats are allowed and the lake is not suitable for swimming. Dogs only allowed in designated Agility/Obedience Club areas.
