The Youth Space located within Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō is an all-inclusive versatile space for our young people aged 12-24 years. Buzzing with Horowhenua’s youth, the Youth Space operates as both a hangout, as well as a venue for events and activities.
The Youth Space services are provided by local youth development service Life to the Max who coordinate different activities daily to attract and entertain our young people. The programmes aim to offer quality youth development to help our young people gain resilience and real life capabilities, all while having fun.
The Youth Space has plenty to do, with ping pong tables, air hockey, foodeball, PCs and an Xbox one. It is a great place to come hangout after school and the school holidays. A youth led radio Fusion FM and recording studio are all supplementary facilities giving our young people plenty to get involved in.
The Youth Space thrives to inspire and educate all in a safe and supportive environment. The Youth Space is open all of the Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō opening hours.
