Taking Care of Business roadshow comes to Levin
Published on 24 May 2018
For the first time the Taking Care of Business Roadshow is coming to Levin. The annual roadshow aims to help business owners engage more effectively and efficiently with the government agencies they deal with on a day-to-day basis.
“The roadshows are about taking the information and advice directly to the people who need it, allowing them to work quicker, smarter, and build better relationships with the key agencies they interact with.” says Economic Development Manager, Shanon Grainger.
The roadshow is free to attend and will be held at Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō on Wednesday 30 May from 12pm.
Multiple government agencies will be present, including: ACC, Inland Revenue, WorkSafe, Regional Business Partners, Employment New Zealand, and many others.
The roadshow is about two hours long and comprises two parts. In the first part, business owners will hear from each agency about what they do and how they can help. Following that, there will be time for networking, when attendees will have an opportunity to speak with agency representatives one-on-one.
Attendees will also hear from Stuart Nash, Minister for Small Business, about the Government’s vision for small business in New Zealand.
In addition, they will learn about the experiences of local business owners using the Regional Business Partner Network, which provides advice to help small businesses build capability and grow.
