Update - 25 March 2020 - Kerbside Recycling Collection Service

We regret that we are unable to continue our kerbside recycling collection during the lockdown period. Although we made every effort to continue this service, we have been informed that the recycling facility we use will not accept our recycling during lockdown.

If your recycling bin gets full during lockdown, please dispose of excess recycling in your general waste bin or rubbish bag.

We apologise for the change, which is beyond our control, and we look forward to restoring our recycling service after lockdown ends.

Thank you for your understanding.

A message from Low Cost Bins

For those in self-isolation or feeling unwell you need to double bag your waste. Please put all the waste that you have used, including tissues and masks, in a plain plastic rubbish bag. Tie the bag when it is about three-quarters full. Place the plastic bag either into your pre-paid bag or bin. Treat all cleaning waste in the same way. After you have placed these materials inside your pre-paid bag or bin, you need to wait 72 hours before placing your pre-paid bag or bin on the kerbside for collection.

All businesses need to adopt the same policy if they have staff members feeling unwell. Commercial bins (including recycling) should be placed outside for collection to avoid unnecessary social contact.

Thank you for your understanding.
