Focus shifts from three waters to upgrade of Roslyn Road

Published on May 27, 2021

The Roslyn Road and three waters upgrade is on track for completion in June.

Higgins (Levin) started work on the project, a 300m stretch of Roslyn Road, Levin, in the first week of February.

Horowhenua District Council Development Engineer Joe Fletcher said so far "The contractors have installed a new sewerage pump station, the gravity sewer pipes and stormwater pipes.

As the three waters work comes to an end, the focus is shifting to Roslyn Road, upgrading the carriageway and building a shared pathway."

The section of road west of Roslyn Road and Fairfield Road intersection will remain closed until June 2021. A diversion via Kennedy Drive is in place.

Residents have access to their properties via the Roslyn/Fairfield intersection and will be told in advance if access to their property is affected.

All excavations are fenced-off and covered at the end of each day, and residents should take special care when travelling at night.
