Road Works - Wharf Street & Harbour Street Intersection, Foxton

Road works were carried out at the intersection of Wharf Street & Harbour Street in Foxton, work carried out improved pedestrian and traffic safety.

Levin Wastewater Discharge

The Pot receives all of Levin’s treated discharged wastewater as irrigation. Half the property is leased from Muaūpoko Land Trust and the other half owned by Council.

Tokomaru Water Supply

Obtain a resource consent to continue to abstract water from Tokomaru River for the Tokomaru water supply.

Wastewater Network Maintenance – Smoke Testing

Horowhenua Alliance carried out smoke testing within the wastewater network in Shannon, Mangaore and Tokomaru, from February through to June 2021. Smoke testing involves smoke being pumped into Council’s sewers. Crews then monitor where smoke escapes the sewer system. Information from these tests are used to improve sewer services.

PGF Funded Queen Street West Improvements

These PGF-funded roading infrastructure improvements on Queen Street West, including water main reticulation renewal and road safety improvement works, were completed in 2020.
