Waikawa Campsite has been temporarily closed by DoC

Diverse vegetation surrounds this Department of Conservation campsite on the banks of the Waikawa Stream. Watch for fantails, tūī, bellbirds, whiteheads, riflemen and kākāriki. There are short walks, day trips and tramps nearby. Campsites available on a first come, first served basis. Please see DoC website for more information.
