Sunset Walk, Foxton Beach

Sunset Walkway showcases the internationally recognised and protected Ramsar site in the Manawatū River Estuary. Spot migratory birds, enjoy river views, watch boats and fishing at the Boat Club, or stop for a BBQ picnic at their facilities beside the boat ramp.

Stay and play on a pirate ship or climb the lookout in Flagstaff Reserve and take in the scenery as you link through parkland. Return along Seabury Ave with several options for take-aways and cafes.

Access: Follow the pathway from Carter Cres along the edge of the Manawatū River Estuary to the end of Hartley St. Go through Flagstaff Reserve turning left onto Seabury Ave. Left again at Nash Pde takes you back to Carter Cres.
