The International Representation Grant aims to support Horowhenua residents who have been selected to represent New Zealand at an international competition in sport, leisure or cultural activities.
Applications may be made on an ongoing basis throughout the year (1 July to 30 June) but must be applied for at least one month prior to the event taking place.
Grants range from $200 - $900 per person depending on the event and where it is located. Grants can be made on a team basis where more than one resident of the district is attending the same event.
Successful applicants are required to submit a report on the event they attended, commenting on the benefits that will result for the local sport or arts and culture organisation.
