Creative Communities Scheme
Horowhenua District Council administers the Creative Communities NZ Scheme on behalf of Creative New Zealand. Creative New Zealand allocates the Horowhenua District approximately $13,500 each round (a total of $27,000 for each financial year) to be dispersed to individuals and organisations for projects that increase participation in (or access to) the Arts.
Applications Closed for Round 1 2017/2018
The first round of funding for the 2017/18 financial year is now closed. Completed applications were due before 5:00pm on Friday, 31 August 2018.

Creative Communities Logo Use
Logo Use of the Creative Communities Scheme logo in marketing material is required by successful applicants. This logo is available for downloading below. For instructions on how to use the logo, please visit the Creative New Zealand website.
Nominations invited for Horowhenua Creative Communities Committee
The Horowhenua Creative Communities Committee is seeking nominations for new members. The committee meets at least twice each year to consider and decide on funding applications lodged under the Horowhenua Creative Communities Grant Scheme, funded by Creative New Zealand.
Members include Horowhenua District Councillors, as well as community representatives from performing arts, fine arts, music and cultural arts backgrounds.
Three members of the existing committee have recently retired by rotation, but all are eligible to seek reappointment alongside public nominations. Committee members serve for a fixed period of up to three years and may serve for only two consecutive periods.
Nomination forms are available below, with hard copies also available from the Council office at 126 Oxford Street, Levin. The nomination period remains open until 5:00pm on Friday, 10 August 2018 (extended from 3 August).
