Creative Communities Scheme
Horowhenua District Council administers the Creative Communities NZ Scheme on behalf of Creative New Zealand. For the 2020/2021 financial year they have allocated an amount of $34,800 to the Horowhenua District to be dispersed to individuals and organisations for projects that increase participation in, or access to, the Arts. This year the grant will be available in two funding rounds with approximately $16,500.00 to be allocated in each of those rounds. There is no limit to how much you can apply for, but most CCS grants tend to be under $2,000.
The Funding Rounds that will be available this year are:
- Round 1 opens 1 August 2020 and closes at 5pm on 31 August 2020.
- Round 2 opens 1 February 2021 and closes at 5pm on 28 February 2021.
Applications closed for Round 2 2020/2021
Applications for Round 2 of the 2020/2021 financial year closed on Sunday, 28 February 2021.
Following our transition to the new SmartyGrants administration tool it is now mandatory to apply online. Council officers will be available to help you establish your SmartyGrants account and to make your first online application, if required. You can organise a time to meet with them by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by phoning 06 366 0999 to request an appointment.
