Kerbside Collection Service
The Bagged refuse collection operates on a weekly basis servicing all towns, townships and Villages in the District as well as some rural residences located along roads between these centres. Arrangements can be made with Council's refuse collection Contractor (Levin Container Rubbish Ph 368-2438) for rural residents if they wish to be included in this collection.
The Contractor will only collect Official (white plastic) rubbish bags, which are available from Council offices or Supermarkets and some shops. Small bags are available from Council at $10.00 per packet of 10, and large bags are $16.00 per packet of 10. Bags can also be purchased individually.
Rubbish bags (and recycling) should be left out at the kerbside before 8:00am for collection.
