Land Use
A resource consent is required for land use activties that are not listed in the District Plan as permitted activities, or activities that are permitted activities but do not comply with the permitted activity conditions.
To find out if your proposed activity or development requires resource consent,
- check the District Plan maps to find the zoning of the site, and then
- check the District Plan rules (including any proposed Plan Changes) to see whether the activity is listed as a permitted activity and whether the activity complies with the permitted activity conditions.
If you are unsure it is advisable to check with a Planning Officer before you proceed with your activity or development.
