Welcome to the Horowhenua District Council's Environmental Health section where we discuss and provide information on food safety, health licensing, starting a registered business, fundraising (food related) and much more.

Our aim is to make sure that residents and visitors to the Horowhenua have confidence in the facilities and premises they use within our district. To help prevent communicable diseases, food poisoning, and uphold the legislative responsibility given to us as a local authority.
