Visitors love to stop at Foxton’s Cultural Park – featuring the multi-cultural Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom and flour-grinding windmill De Molen. You can easily spend half a day here.

The award-winning Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom houses both Maōri and Dutch museums, an impressive art gallery, library and a café.

De Molen is a working windmill, with a Dutch Deli that sells plenty of artisan cheeses. You can buy stone ground flour, milled right here in de Molen, along with yummy Dutch treats, goodies and souvenirs.

The park is also home to the Flax Stripper Museum and Whare Manaaki workshop that features traditional Māori arts.

Café De Molen, serves hearty Dutch dishes and delicacies. The public toilets are situated on the side of the café.
