During the month of April we are pleased to be able to host the Horowhenua Embroiderers Guild Exhibition.

Since 1989 when the Horowhenua Embroiderers Guild first began, the techniques and styles that were once used have been given a more contemporary flair. By doing this the members of the guild, the passionate lovers of their craft, were able to bring this art form into the 21st Century.

With 22 members in the Horowhenua Guild, each person brings something different to the table and also to the 2017 Exhibition. From the many different threads and fabrics, beading and cross stitch to extensions and needlework, this is sure to be an exhibition with a difference and is not to be missed.

"Take your needle, my child, and work at your pattern; it will come out a rose by and by. Life is like that - one stitch at a time taken patiently and the pattern will come out all right like the embroidery". ~ Oliver Wendell Holmes
