Fish Fest at Foxton

Manawatu Marine Boat Club, 50 Hartley Street, Foxton Beach. 
2.00pm – 6.00pm
Hosted by The Manawatu Marine Boating Club at Foxton, this event is part of Sea Week (March 7-14th).  Find out about local fish and fishing.  Get advice from Ministry of Fisheries and Department of Conservation rangers, local fisherman, regional and district councils and environmental groups. Fun for the whole family!  Spot prizes, hands-on activities, games, music and a special surprise guest.

Foxton Little Theatre AGM

Foxton Little Theatre's AGM will be held on Sunday, 21st March at 2.00pm.   This will be followed by afternoon tea.  The Foxton Little Theatre is looking for new members and possible committee members but friends of the Theatre are also welcome.

Manakau Country School Family Music Festival

Manakau School, 9 Mokena Kohere Street, Manakau Village, Horowhenua. 
1.00pm – 6.00pm. 
Bring your blanket and picnic dinner, BBQ and coffee available.  Smoke free environment.
Four fantastic music acts – Hurican Shayn Wills, Against the Grain, Legan Tender Band and Hen Pecked.  This is a fundraising event for the Manakau School’s Library Resources.
Family entry $10, single entry $5.

Habitat for Humanity ‘Operatunity’ Concert

7.00pm in the Salvation Army Centre, Durham St, Levin.
Habitat For Humanity is proud to present an “Operatunity” Concert,. A great evening’s entertainment is promised from the programme, “3 Tenors and 1 Soprano”.  Habitat for Humanity builds houses for deserving families and have already completed two for families in our District. The organisers are in fundraising mode in preparation to build yet another – help them by attending this wonderful concert.
Tickets cost $20 and will be available at Ballentynes’ Fashion Central at the beginning of March.

National Bank Young Farmer of 2010

Taranaki/Manawatu Regional Final, Levin Showgrounds
Get in behind and support your local Young Farmer in the ultimate rural challenge - two days of work in eight hours! Practical challenge (free to attend) starts from 8.00am, followed by contestants putting their general knowledge skills to the test from 7.00pm.  The night wraps up with the Vespas providing fabulous tunes to help us party on after the show.

Expert speakers, all day entertainment and good healthy food all add up to make this a fun, family day out.
