Manakau Rock ‘n’ Roll Evening

7.30pm, Manakau Hotel
Manakau District Community Association & Manakau School invite you to dust off your dancing shoes and join them for an evening of rock n roll. Tickets $15 from Manakau School, Manakau Hotel or Manakau Store.  Music from the 50s and 60s, bar sales available, light supper provided. Profits will be used towards upgrading the hall water supply and the purchase of instructional readers for the junior school. Prize for the best dressed couple.

making demonstrations. The Fantails Club will also be launched; this is a social club for those wanting more out of life, targeting

‘The Big Latch On’

Levin mothers are taking part in the annual breastfeeding marathon as they latch their babies on for a feed. Last year New Zealand recorded 1,306 women breastfeeding simultaneously, this year it is anticipated that even more mothers will be counted
breaking the record, which has been broken annually since 2005. This year is set to be even bigger. For more information on the

Levin Cossie Variety Music Club Charity Concert

Levin Cosmopolitan Club, Oxford Street South. Admission $15 for the entire programme. 7.00pm to 11.00pm. From 11.00am to 3.00pm and then a short break before resuming until 5.00pm. Registrations for a blackboard session. The evening concert will commence with a ‘Phantom of the Opera’ performance by TJ of the Whanganui Varity Club. This will be followed by ‘The Cleff’s’ Classic Hits of Yesteryear. Given enough time a second Phantom of the Night performance duo by TJ and Elaine Holden will close the show. Proceeds will help build more hospitals for sick kids. The Cosmopolitan Restaurant is available to purchase lunch from 12.00pm to 2.00pm and dinner from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. The programme is conjunction with Countdown.
